The Adirondack Soaring Club, Inc. (ADK) is announcing the 2010 Annual Glider Pilot Ground School
This years Ground School will again be held at the Hudson Valley Community College Campus TEC SMART in Malta, New York. Course will run from 8:00 a.m. (Sharp) to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20th and Sunday March 21st 2010.
- This training fulfils FAA requirements and prepares each Student for the FAA Glider Pilot written exam - Non-club members will be required to pay a $30.00 Registration fee at a time of registration and insures that you are serious and holds your spot. Materials will be provided vai PDF File and will need to be downloaded prior to attending class. The Adirondack Soaring Club would like to make special recognition to our members for their personal accomplishments. January 2010: Private gliders include a Std. Austria, (6) Libelle 201's, Std. Cirrus,(2) DG-100's, LS-1F, LS-8, (2) Ka-6CR, Grob 109, Duo Discus, Discus 2aX, Discus 2bx, Dicsus CS, Diamond Extreme, Salto, LAK-12, and a Mosquito. Total Private Fleet is (22)gliders. September 15, 2007: WAVE! Again.. George & Tim Hanke climb to 16,500 and Bob Iluiano climbs to 16,000 ft and earns his GOLD Altitude. August 18, 2007: WAVE!! Several members flew between 12,0000 to 18,000 ft. Congratulations to Michele Hight on her CFIG add-on and to Craig Eaton and Reigh Walling for obtaining there private pilot glider liscences.
